Main TSP site ‘stuck’ on mobile version with iOS

When I visit the main site (not the Forum) from my iPad with Safari I am presented the mobile version of the site instead of the desktop version. There is an option in Safari to request the desktop version, but when I choose that it still gives me the mobile version. The site really should be updated to a responsive design based on actual screen size and to honor the desktop version request from the browser.

Agreed.  The main site uses a theme from 2011, and the mobile version looks like something designed for flip-phones.  I'll nudge Jack about updating it.

In the meanwhile, give this a try: Way down at the bottom of the screen (desktop or mobile), there's a little icon for switching modes:


Click that and see what you get.  The software is supposed to remember your choice.

Thanks, didn’t see that button on the bottom. That does switch it to the desktop site.

Good, I'm glad that worked.

Further news from the "Why did I open my mouth?" department:  Jack has hired me to replace the theme with a modern responsive version.  With luck, it'll be working a lot better fairly soon.  Or I'll be placed in a nice padded room.  We'll see.
