Building a Radical Revolutionary Book Collection
« on: December 31, 2019, 01:56:04 PM »
What are some of the great radical and revolutionary books of all time?

I am making a themed book shelf and want to include books like:

1984
Anarchist Cookbook
Fahrenheit 451
Steal this book
Atlas shrugged
Guerrilla warfare
Power to the people: the world of the Black panthers
Etc.....

Well the obvious Bible but beyond that...

Art of War
The Prince
Rules for Radicals

I'd add the Gun Digest books of different firearms. Manuals are good too. Don't overlook seemingly simple things like the Boy Scout Field Manual.

If you really want to go deep like the Anarchist Cookbook there is Kurt Saxon's Weaponeer. Be warned this is literally a book about making improvised weapons to the point of manufacturing poisons and delivery systems. It's dark if you can find it. I haven't seen a copy in years.

Kurt Saxon's Weaponeer

Yeah, that was way too dark for us.  We had a copy years ago -- I think we may have saved a few interesting pages somewhere, and trashed the rest.  He was too far into fantasies of not-in-self-defense poisoning of people that he didn't like... and I'll leave it at that.

The Anarchist Cookbook is reputed to contain a bunch of dangerously flawed recipes.

I'll see what's on our shelves -- maybe I can add a few to the list.

A lot of Heinlein like the Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

Total Resistance - Swiss Army Guide to Guerrilla Warfare and Underground Operations

Claire Wolf's works like 101 Things to Do 'Til the Revolution: Ideas and Resources for Self-Liberation, Monkey Wrenching and Preparedness and Basics of Resistance: The Practical Freedomista, Book I

Boston's Gun Bible

Fred's Guide to Being a Rifleman and his fighting the UN story

Ragnar's action encyclopedia of practical knowledge and proven techniques

The Turner Diaries - warning, racist content

You can also get old Paladin Press/Loomponics catalogs and find a lot of titles.
