Short term water carrier
« on: May 31, 2020, 11:15:10 AM »
I discovered that one of those re-usable grocery bags from the big chain store will hold water, at least for a few minutes. Might be long enough to get from one house to another, or something. The seams on mine leaked a little, but not too bad. I'm sure they could be sealed.
This was a special occasion bag, not the everyday version. Haven't tried one of those yet.

YMMV

We have a few of those, various brands. Kept in the trunk of the car, which we seem to never remember what they are for and that we have them.

I've used the everyday blue bags to carry water from a stream to the campfire to put it out while camping.  Worked fine for that, but they rip real easily and I would not trust it if I was short of water.
