Stay out of downtown Louisville this week.  If you are there, now is the time to finalize plans including leaving while still able.

Louisville Mayor Declares State Of Emergency Ahead of Breonna Taylor Announcement

Greg Fischer, the mayor of Louisville, Ky., said Tuesday he has declared a state of emergency for the city "due to the potential for civil unrest."
...
The executive order allows the mayor to "exercise any of his emergency powers," which include the ability to hire or contract services and enact curfews and other restrictions, according to a statement the mayor tweeted Tuesday.

Another executive order restricts access to five parking garages in the city's downtown area and bans street parking in some areas.
...
The mayor's announcement comes on the heels of the Louisville Metro Police Department saying that "a decision was made to accelerate plans" to restrict access to several parts of downtown.
...
A federal judge ordered the Gene Snyder U.S. Courthouse and Custom House would be closed this week, also in anticipation of Cameron's decision, according to Louisville's Courier-Journal.

Preparing for the siege.  Plywood is very hard to come by in the the region.  A good prep is to have a couple sheets of plywood stored for emergencies, whether that be riots or storms.

Things were already getting bad in Kentucky.  BLM there has been pushing for more money.  That is what this has devolved into.

‘Where’s our money!’ BLM protesters chant outside Mitch McConnell’s home after Dems block relief bill

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell became the target of Black Lives Matter activists who congregated outside his home to protest a failed coronavirus relief bill.

“I can’t breathe!” one activist yelled. ” I can’t breathe! Black Lives Matter! Black Lives Matter!”

“I need that money, and until I get that money, I’m going to be right here on C Street every day until I get it,” the man shouted.

“No justice! No peace!” the small crowd yelled as well as “where’s our money.”

With any luck, other states will follow Florida's lead and invoke the RICO act, get to the source of the funding and most of these terrorists mobs will dissipate.

Kentucky grand jury indicts 1 of 3 officers in fatal Breonna Taylor police shooting  – but not for her death

Cameron said Wednesday that the grand jury decided homicide charges are not applicable because the investigation showed that Mattingly and Cosgrove were justified in returning deadly fire after they were fired upon by Kenneth Walker, Taylor's boyfriend
...
"My team set out to investigate the circumstances surrounding Ms. Taylor's death. We did it with a singular goal in mind: pursuing the truth. Kentucky deserves no less. The city of Louisville deserves no less. If we simply act on emotion or outrage, there is no justice. Mob justice is not justice."
...
Around 200 protesters gathered at Jefferson Square Park in downtown Louisville as the announcement was played on a loudspeaker. They almost immediately began chanting "No justice, no peace."
...
In anticipation of Cameron's announcement, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer invoked a 72-hour curfew, effective Wednesday night, from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
...
Downtown Louisville has taken on the appearance of a city under siege, with plywood nailed across business fronts and concrete barriers cordoning off a 25-block perimeter.

Louisville protests intensify after Breonna Taylor grand jury decision

It only took a few hours for violent clashes to erupt between protesters and police in Louisville, Kentucky, after a grand jury cleared the cops of any criminality in her police-involved death.

Moments after a Kentucky grand jury’s decision to only indict one of three cops involved — and only for endangering neighbors by opening fire — in Taylor’s March 13 shooting death, protests erupted on the streets of Louisville.

Hundreds chanting, “No justice! No Peace!” took to the streets — and less than three hours after the charges were handed up against former Louisville police detective Brett Hankison, confrontations between police and protesters broke out.

As police in riot gear and demonstrators clashed, officers fired off pepper balls and several arrests were made.

At one point police wielding batons formed a human chain along a city street, so that protestors could not pass, prompting some to shove through.

Tensions rose further as protestors cursed and shouted at police and reportedly hurled water bottles at them.

Illinois National Guard is also already in place.  Tonight might decide whether the United States is ultimately a country of deliberative justice or mob rule.

Why are these terrorists not being rounded up and shipped to Gitmo?  (Yes, this is a rhetorical question)

Then need to treat the rioters as they would Muslim extremists launching attacks against this country.

Under the constitution Congress has the responsibility to ensure a republican form of government in each state.  The supreme court has been explicit that this includes using forces to stop such riots.  But Pelosi refuses to act.  In fact, she is encouraging the mobs, directly violating her oath of office.  It is far past time for Kevin McCarthy to call for a vote to remove Pelosi.

As expected, BLM/antifa has changed tactics to using firearms to assassinate police and others who stand in their way.  This is what the string of gun store robberies in other thread has been about.

Some calmer, rational voices are starting to emerge to counter BLM/antifa.  Could be a good sign.

Charles Barkley reacts to Breonna Taylor case, dismisses 'defund the police' as 'crap'

“It’s bad this young lady lost her life,” Barkley said of Taylor. “But we do have to take into account that her boyfriend did shoot at the cops and shot a cop. So, like I say, even though I am really sorry she lost her life, I don’t think we can just say we can put this in the same situation as George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery. I just don’t believe that.”
...
“You know, I hear these fools on TV talking about ‘defund the police’ and things like that. We need police reform and prison reform and things like that. Because you know, who ain’t gonna defund the cops? White neighborhoods and rich neighborhoods. So that notion they keep saying that … I’m like, wait a minute. Who are Black people supposed to call -- Ghostbusters? -- when we have crime in our neighborhoods? We need police reform. Like I say, White people -- especially rich White people -- they’re always gonna have cops, so we need to stop that 'defund' or 'abolish the cops' crap,” he said.
