With Fauci's continual doom and gloom projections for Indiana failing to materialize at all, the governor is being politically compelled to enter final stage of reopening.  According to the data, Indiana met all the criteria well over a month ago.  Finally science is winning over political fear mongering.    Indiana is back in business!

The governor is trying to save face for the delay by keeping the mask "mandate" but it is already ignored by most outside of schools and government entities.  It is unenforceable and has no penalties, even fines.

Indiana coronavirus updates: State to enter stage 5 of reopening; mask mandate continues

Holcomb said the state is now ready to enter Stage 5 of the reopening plan. That will begin Saturday Sept. 26 and last through Oct. 17.

Stage 5 changes:

A mask mandate will continue.

Size limitations will be removed for gatherings and meetings. Organizers of events with more than 500 people will need to submit a written plan to the local health department.

Restaurants and bars that serve food can open at full capacity. Appropriate social distancing will need to be maintained. A bar section must have people seated.

Bars and nightclubs can open at full capacity. Customers must be seated and social distancing is required.

Indoor and outdoor venues can open at full capacity.

Senior centers and congregate nutrition sites may reopen according to FSSA guidance.

Personal services, gyms, fitness centers, and workout facilities may resume normal operations.

Nursing homes and assisted living facilities are required to provide visitation opportunities.

That is good news. I hope it catches on.

Unfortunately, our governor is extremely in the I-don't-let-facts-get-in-the-way-of-my-reality camp. Even if EVERY single person in the federal government, the medical field and the main stream media were to shout that this is over, dictator Wolf is enjoying his reign too much to let it drop. When the federal court ruled that his shutting down our businesses was unconstitutional, he basically said: "I don't care, the bans stay in place."

Florida coming on line too.

DeSantis Announces the Immediate End to COVID Restrictions

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made a huge announcement on Friday, effectively ending limitations on businesses put in place because of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic.

DeSantis said that the state would enter Phase Three effective immediately, meaning that all businesses are free to operate at the level they are comfortable with. Any local government in Florida that wants to remain at a greater restriction would need to provide proof and a statement of financial impact.
