Picked tomatoes.
Smoked tomatoes for salsa and stew additions.  ;D

Canned 6 quarts of garden stew and 1 water.

Sorted out dried seeds and packaged/saved for next year's garden.
(That will be ongoing for a while)

8 quarts of garden stew and tomatoes. 1 extra... canned and done.
16 pints of green beans, stew, and carrots. Mixed bag there as we were reaching for a full load...
That broke down to 12 green beans. 4 stew. 2 carrots.  ;D

Had a good canning day.

Yes, another today so far.  ;D Course jelly/jam goes faster it seems.

16 half pints peach jam
7 half pints peach jelly
7 12oz jars cut peaches (oddball Ball jars)
1 24oz? water. (One of your oddball jars Red)

Getting ready to pick more elderberry's (those are winding down)
I still haven't dug the last 25' row of onions. Maybe after it cools off later.

Finished up the onions
Canned 8 pints of salsa and 1 of Red's oddball  :o 20oz mason jars with water.
Picked more elderberrys.

Hey Red..........one of those oddball 20oz'ers won't fit in with a double layer of pints..... :( . Another inch of depth in the canner and it would. Oh well......


Cook pots and the canner has heated up the house today...........

Those Classico jars? Pressure canning with them? Wish I had the measuring tools I had at work to check the thickness against Ball jars. Might be able to measure the threaded area but can't get lower side thickness with my personal tools. That takes a much more expensive tool.

Heating the house, yeah another reason I can't get going on canning right now.

Yeah they'd fit with quarts. Might would have leaked if you had laid it down.

I haven't tried to WB or PC any water just get to a rolling boil for 5 minutes, pour it up in the jars, put the Classico lid on, turn upside down and cool. The lids will seal, can hear them popping even upside down.

Haven't a frog chokin' gully washer rain right now.

Made and canned 7 pints of sweet relish. All the cucumbers we had. Piggies got all the ones that were over ripe.

Got a couple cans of smoked oysters and a couple can of "spam" type luncheon loaf at Dollar Tree coming home from the dentist office. Dentist was sort of a supply trip also. Added another small tube of toothpaste, a tooth brush and a container of dental floss to the stash from the bag of stuff they give you. With wife and I going twice a year the pile is building.

Was going to get another 100# of wheat berries, but nixed that after seeing the price on a bushel of peaches. So peaches it is, which we will can and maybe do some jamming.... ;D

Also found some brown rice flour that was reasonable, usable for Bill's pancake concoction. $4.07 for 2 pounds. Cheap enough it's not worth the effort for me to grind some rice berries.

Processed and canned 7 quarts green beans. Had to go out and pick another handful to finish the last jar, and noticed the beans are ready to pick again. So much for picking them every 3 days.....
