Carver, that is spectacular.  Could you post a pic of the pocket holes before assembly?

Thanks

The objective was to put this table together at a minimum of time & materials. All material was scrap, the top was once used as a backing for a pellet gun target and has some holes in it from that. I finished it with some old leftover oil finish.

Great use of used material, and fast build.

I really like that.  I need a shop big enough to do wood working in. I LOVE working with wood, but I have no space, I can't even store any decent tools.  Just no space at all.   Thanks for the extra pics!!

Bought extra kitchen wash cloths and towels. These will go into a bucket marked kitchen cleaning. I'll add sponges and other odds and ends as I think about them. Finding a decent wash sponge today in the stores, was a lost cause.

Wife said I should have ck'ed automotive section.

Yep +1

That's what I use on canning jars.

Shot off a couple Walmart orders recently for paper goods and a few food and cleaning items. All those should bring me close to or over one years supply except on one item that keeps going out of stock. Most of it should show up tomorrow.

Sounds good all.

I went to buy icing buckets yesterday at the grocery bakery and they were out again, as they were a couple of weeks ago.  :(
Before I carted ( ;D) off, the other gal yelled out.....* yea my Dad bought all of them. He's doing this odd prep thing*.

The bucket secret isn't a secret there anymore. Lol
I bought buckets at Walmart. They have plenty

Nothing new lately with true prepping, been working on our kitchen rebuild and other house projects. At least that brings/hones some skills.
Potatoes grow nicely, as well as corn. Beans and peas were a failure this year, wrong spot (not enough sunlight).

The usual garden work. Recounted the tomato plants. 164. I threw the last flat away.  ::)

Went through the med tubs. Lookin good there.
Did a freezer bag inventory. Probably should double what we have, as I would imagine most comes from China.

Oh. Added some EZ towels and a small bottle of rubbing alcohol to the GHB in the car.

Garden maintenance about every day now.
Dehydrating some okra.
Been adding #10 cans to the LT. Hard to find any available. Can't put them in your cart and set on them.

From google earth took screenprints:

Our home street from directly overhead, then in 3D mode the eight cardinal compass points, the view being looking toward our house, as though the camera was about 1/2 mile away, and at an elevation of several hundred feet.

These nine images were pasted into word documents with the page size being 11 x 17 (ledger).  Printed at the local library in color for $.10 each.

Makes for an interesting view of at least what USED to be the back sides of the structures I can see from home.

How does your wife make hte juice for canning ?  I picked a small amount from a bush on a vacant lot, at least a pound, about 2 quarts ( not 2 quarts squashed, in clusters) I have never picked nor canned it before

( Luckily I have plenty of lids,  not the good ones, but lids never the less)

The elderberries? We have a steamer and collect the juice, then just water bath it.

^  When we make eldeberry medicinal juice, we don't even can it. We add a little bit of alcohol to it (usually cheap rum) and pour it into fresh empty liquor bottles, that are naturally sterile. Lasts for a couple years easily. We're about to make some more, but they're not nearly ripe here yet.

Bought another case (10) of the Sterlite 27q tubs from Walmart, since the price has dropped down again.
Probably all the tubs that we will need again for the storeroom.

You're saying that you add the juice to the alcohol? or the berries? If you are adding juice, are you getting it from a steamer, as Stwood mentioned?
