I don't think you could get me in that thing even if my life depended on it.  I'd die when they shut the hatch.  I don't like to dive underwater either.  Everyone has their phobias I guess.

I could think of better ways to die.  In a tin can under water is not one of them.

Think Thrasher and Scorpion. Really big tin cans. My youngest brother served on the Tecumseh. His stories convinced me never to ride in a boat that sinks on purpose.

I was a PADI recreational dive instructor years ago and I met a couple commercial divers that were showing me the materials they were gathering to build their own submarine. I should have kept in touch with them. I wonder now if they ever got everything they needed and actually put it in the water.

I would venture to say the crush depth on that thing is not very deep.

As an experienced diver and holder of an engineering degree, i say no f-ing way I get in that thing.

Just a few years ago when I was a kid   ;)  they advertised a submarine in the back of comic books.  I always thought it was a real deal sub and wanted one it the worst way.   Of course I found out later that it was just cardboard for playing in the back yard.

Still would have been cool to have...

I'm neither, but I know barrels collapse very easily... I wouldn't get in it either!

I'm actually a little disappointed in these replies. WTH happened to thinking outside the box?

That is one awesome, hidden in the pond, bunker! No one is going to find it there. LOL.
