Heyo, hiyo, yo!
I'm Jed. I actually came across this forum and the podcast as well from a meetup group I'm a member of, but haven't ever actually gone to any of the meetups... Go figure. Kinda busy a lot. If any of ya are here, sorry, guys. I'll show up some day. I'm kinda lazy about going to stuff to do stuff, yeah. That and I'm not real highly motivated to talk to new people outside of my work. At least, not without a screen. Antisocial nerd, you get the idea, whatever.
OK, rambling again. Anyway....
I work in the automotive aftermarket industry. I sell car parts for a widely recognized and highly reputable corporate/franchised chain. That said, I'm already giving away more details about my life than I typically care to. If anybody happens to recognize me somehow from any other forums, I'd prefer y'all just keep it to yourselves. I doubt anybody does, but hey, it's a smaller world than we sometimes realize.
I live in usually quiet neighborhood in south Murderapolis in a tiny ass little "efficiency" apartment that I pay entirely too much for. Life circumstances at the moment sort of have me hung up here. Working on changing that a bit at a time, though. Tough to do when you're techinically below "poverty level income" whatever the hell that is. All I know is that I'm broke a lot partially because I suck with money and partially because I don't really bring in all that much with this whole "legit job" thing. Kinda new to that whole scene still. Risk factors and my dumbass falling in love with the woman I'd like to be with the rest of my life have kinda gently nudged, with a swift kick in the ass, my path to one where I'm trying things a bit different now. Oh, yeah, and the part about pissing off sherrif john brown, so to speak.
Whatever, it's all good. But it could be better, still. And I'm learning from this podcast, and others in this and other on/offline communities how to make that happen.
But I digress... Where was I? Sorry, folks, I do this sometimes. Ok, a lot. Hope y'all can bear with me and not get too irritated. I'll try to keep it to a minimum in the forums.
Oh, yeah, me... Intro. Right. I'm 26. Getting married soon. Don't even have a car anymore. I rent the place I live. I have the option (and have gone with it for a little less than a year now) to do some smaller indoor growing. Mostly a learning experience so far. In soil. Peppers, and a few other items I've been able to get the landlord to OK for my use of the little strips of side and patches of front and back "yard" that we have here.
I also have a pretty healthy interest (though my fiance may disagree) in firearms and all that comes along with that. If anybody else from Minnesota has any pointers or experience they'd like to share on the CCW topic, I'd be more than happy to listen. I've heard rumors about the CCW permit becoming history soon. I'll look around here and see if anybody has posted anything already.
I had a bunch more to say about myself to introduce me to you, but I see I'm rambling again. Sorry. I'm just gonna stop here.
