Recently finally deactivated my FB account.

So they quit choking on your user name and finally let you in? Knew you had trouble getting an account there for a while.

Yeah they shot me down twice. Let me in the third time. I used the same user name and avatar each time. Same avatar I use here. Different user name though. The last post to the WWZ group was Jacko wanting a link to the Cod shop sometime in January.

Is there any other way to post photos on this forum other than Photobucket??

Hi I am Johnny aka Grimm from the Bug Out Boys youtube channel. When I am not out filming the videos I am usually out performing on my violin with my bands.
I got into being self reliant one day when I was sitting on my back porch and looked down into the woods and asked myself if I could go down there now and survive with just what I have in my pockets. Did I have the tools and skill to make a fire or shelter. All the answers were no so I decided to do something about it. I created the youtube channel to document it and hoped that it would help others seeing my failures and successes. I love being outdoors and I love learning new skills and trades. I am also looking forward to sharing thoughts and ideas with fellow like minded survivalists as well as hopefully contribute a few of my own.

Hi all, very new the TSP forum.  Never even used a forum before for anything so I'll be learning the ropes.  Name is Suzy, married and living in the middle of nowhere KY.  Been listening to Jack for about 2 years on my way to and from work but still consider myself a newbie.  Husband makes fun of my prepping but secretly is proud and likes to help out.  Work in the emergency room.

Hello everyone, my name is Justin and I am a 37 year old guy with a wife and 2 kids born and raised in uber-liberal Illinois. My wife and I are fairly new into preparedness (about a year), but I am an old boyscout with experience in bushcraft skills. We are currently working on paying off all of our debt, and have developed a family plan to move to Colorado in 4 years.

We are planning on starting slow (post-move) to create a self sufficient homestead, build a passive solar home, set up an aquaponics system and become as independent as possible.

I stumbled upon Jack's podcast a few months ago, and have been a regular listener ever since.

Well welcome from the Houston, Texas area Tan.

Thanks Redman. I believe Perth and Houston have similar climates although the seasons are reversed.

Still waiting for an extremely late fall to show up here, although the garden seems to think it’s spring (by the calendar it should be almost winter!) seasons messed up over there too or are you having a normal spring?

It has been a strange year here... virtually no winter at all this year and extremely low precipitation. And... we are already into the very hot temps way ahead of the normal schedule...

However, because of the mild winter and no late frost, I have a lot of fruit on the trees... the sweet cherries, apricots and plums are already ripening.  (SE NM, so 4 degrees latitude north of Houston).
