For the Canadians; I've found it at both Canadian Tire and Walmart.

Our local CSA farm orders it in for me.  Since I am a paying member, they have been more than willing to order me in anything I need and sell it at or near cost.  For my part of the country, vermiculite is the most costly part of the SFG.

I have used fine and medium and prefer fine.  The latest bags were medium and they seem to work just as well but aren't aesthetically pleasing and are a little tougher for seedlings to push away on the surface.

None of the hardware shops (Ace, Home Depot, Lowes) nor nurseries in my area seem to carry it.

So I am thinking I'd buy it online.

What size/grade do I need? Coarse, medium, fine?

I was also going to buy it online.  However my dad is a contractor and he picked some up at the local building supply store (not the big chain stores like lowes).  It was about $10 for 3.5 cu/ft.  Ask for Loose Fill Attic Insulation.

Kind of near Memorial area

The SFG guys have created a vermiculite source "database" (ok, it's really a shared spreadsheet) and it is impressively large:

I did not have luck at the big box stores, but the local nursery had big bags for sale.

Does anyone know of a good place to find large bags of Vermiculite in Northern metro Atlanta, around Marietta.
