What size bottle do you think is best to have on hand for barter?

50ml
200ml
375ml

Also, what types would be most popular - vodka, whiskey, rum, etc.?

Personally, I'd keep grain alcohol like Everclear on hand.  It is a double duty object.  You can use it to make medicinal tictures and can make extracts.

I think if you're only using it for barter then whatever you have on hand would be fine. I agree about the everclear as good for keeping around. My SIL brought home some moonshine the other day, he said the batch he had tasted before was really good but that stuff he brought home was the worst tasting stuff I've ever tried. Made me rethink keeping more good stuff on hand, my theory till now was that someone would always have a still.

I think Vodka is a good alcohol to have on hand, because you can also use it to make herbal tinctures, which could be more valuable than the barter aspect.
