Fun Homebrew Labels
« on: December 30, 2010, 10:06:17 AM »

My husband is a WWII militaria enthusiast... he's been having fun designing potential labels for our homebrew... this is one we particularly like.

Any others like to share?

Here are a few a friend did for some meads I brewed:

Now the big question is, what do you use to print your labels and what do you print them on?

LvsChant, Archer, those are great!

These are two of the many Beer Labels I produced for a friend. He loved reading about the paranormal, so all of his brew names revolved around this particular interest. I did the two shown as well as "Nessie Scottish Ale", "Sasquatch Bock", and "Phantomweizen".

OK... just a comment. The photo with a swastika in it is a photo of U.S. GI's who captured the flag during WWII. And... there are no blasting caps in the box... it is just WWII memorabilia (and, he would never drink beer while blasting, anyway)... usually...

Those look great.

How do people stick labels on their homebrew.  Removing the original labels is a pain.
There has to be a glue out there that comes off easier.

I find soaking in the kitchen sink with a bit of baking soda works pretty well. The home-made labels come off very easily. So... once you've gotten the commercial labels off, you're home free.

I usually do not put labels on my brews.  But if I do, I always use regular glue sticks to attach them.  They come off easily in water.

I used Adobe Illustrator on those two.
