AAA to AA converter container?
« on: March 20, 2011, 03:59:10 PM »
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with battery converters that convert AAA into AA. Ones like this http://www.uxcell.com/battery-holder-converter-adaptor-size-aaa-p-34636.html

If you haven't had experience with these, what are your thoughts about these as preps?

I think that these would be a great asset because they would allow you to still use AA electronics if only AAA were available. I would still store AA batteries, I would just have a few of these in case I wasn't able to get my hands on AA. I'm thinking more for a bug out bag or get home bag.

Don't have experience with the OP's question, but I've always wanted to have somebody machine me some AA to D cell adapters out of lead or depleted uranium or something heavy like that, so I could fill up by 6 cell Mag Light with them.  Ideally, the outside would be painted to look like a D cell at a quick glance.  Maybe just install one or two of them in the "business end" of the flashlight, to give it a little bit more heft.
