Emergency numbers
« on: May 01, 2011, 11:23:16 AM »
Hi, everyone.  I am working on a list of emergency contact information to have printed out.

I was wondering what numbers you think are important to have on the list.

I have all the utility companies, the phone company, poison control, and animal poison control (for my cats).  I'm going to have all my family too.

So what am I missing?  (I looked for this topic in search, and I apologize if it's been covered all ready.  I didn't see anything.)

Thank you!

Get the long phone numbers for your local police, fire and medical. Don't rely on 911 switching over. Good to have the name and phone numbers for your doctor and dentist. Also would be good to have the phone number of your pastor or clergy. Just a few ideas.

There is a pretty good list on this thread.

I just now put a sticky on it. Seemed like a good one to keep near the top.

Have out of state contacts, as very often when local phones won't work, long distance ones do. So having your family contact someone out of state is good, if you cannot communicate with your family locally. ie, your wife is on one side of the city and you are on the other and no one has any idea where the other is. That way you can hook up.
