Security: City vs Country

This is ferFAL, from Argentina, discussing the downsides, from an economic and security perspective, to rural living during their economic crisis.  Definitely some points to think about.

 I agree with many of your points, in the the midwest there are more advantages to living in the country for my lifestyle. There is no crime, I regularly park my truck with tools in it at home, I couldn't do that with peace of mind even in the small town I once lived in. If things break down it is much easier to move to the city than to move to the country. I see a complete collapse as very rare, and the benefits to living in the country easily outweigh the alternative. That said if you are a city person the country is not the place for you.
