Useful Ham Apps for iPhone?
« on: November 18, 2014, 07:30:49 PM »
If this subject has been posted before please forgive me, I searched but did not see anything.

Like most apps, some are great and some are worthless.  Have you come across any Ham related iPhone apps that are worth having, free or pay?
Thanks, David

PSKer.  Lets you encode/decode BPSK-31 on any iOS device without cables, interfaces, or anything else besides your HF radio.  OK, an external bluetooth keyboard helps, but you don't even really need that.

I can speak to Android, as I got my ham ticket after moving off iPhone.

RepeaterBook - shows repeaters relative to your current location.  Can filter by bands, status, proximity, and modes like D-star.
EchoLink
EchoLinkFinder

ISS Detector (satellite, and astronomy tracker).  Includes the uplink and downlink frequencies for amatuer radio birds, and estimates of when the satellite will be usable for your location.
