what i intend on doing when/if I make my lab bench is get a power pole with a lighted on switch. on this I will run the chargers (and soldering iron). if you are to leave the room for some hours it is easy to check if they are off.

I have to switch mine up.  My charger is about 15 years old and not in too good of condition.  I will check these off my list as possible replacements.

OK,But it was a rare failure and I replaced it with another ....this was a pretty unique event as the requested the damaged unit and a few weeks later GAVE ME A NEW ONE , I may change my mind if it happens again though.
