Anyone ever heard of "mutual combat law"?
« on: April 16, 2017, 06:54:47 PM »
Was watching some youtube videos and came across a reference to "mutual combat law" in Washington state. Apparently it also exists here in Texas too. http://codes.findlaw.com/tx/penal-code/penal-sect-22-06.html

Opinions from (alleged) legal experts:

Is fighting an arrestable offense if it's mutual combat?

Here is something to look at...mutual combat is rare these days except among siblings or peers.

This is fantastic news.  Next time there's a dispute with a coworker I may challenge him to a duel.

The problem I always have is that the challengee gets to pick the weapons.  Then they go all wimpy and choose feather pillows, ketchup squeeze bottles, etc.  It gets messy.

Possible, as long as this is met(in TX).
