Dehydrating some more mushrooms from today's trip. Managed to clear out some more old stuff left by the previous house owners, drove it to the junkyard and thus freed more room for long term supplies.

yesterday I set up my distributed key access system (LOLOLOL)
in practical matters a hidden key gives you access somewhere that second one is hidden, which opens another distant location where a third key is hidden, where...
This way any method for one to enter my house is still easier than going throw the chain of hidden keys

We should probably rotate our walnuts this year.
Crop won't be a big one this year, so we probably won't mess with picking up and selling them this year. Sold 950? pounds last year.

We have two fully grown walnut trees and several young ones. This Spring most of them got bitten by frost, but at least one of the big ones has rather nice crop, though hardly enough for us and some family gifts, surely not for sale.
Picked two more boxes of walnuts today. Did some woodcarving too, plus finished another pair of shoes last night. Practice and self-employment income at the same time.

Updated my monthly budget tracker, saving money has been a struggle for the least 6 months, trying to keep a record of where the money is going is the best way I found for some discipline.

Remember the Starkist vs Henderson? lawsuit, where they were sued for under filling the 5oz cans. Fill out a form and get a $50.00 ck or $50.00 in product.

Well the coupon came.............for $5.03 towards Starkist products.  ::)

So along with other storeroom supplies, I got 5 cans of tuna fish basically free after the gal got the coupon card to work.
As I was walking out, spotted a food bank donation barrel......dropped a can in there, which was completely empty.  ::)

Cut and split some more firewood...winter is coming :D
Bought some masonry supplies so I can prepare for installing vault door to my planned gun, ammo and reloading room. Apparently, there are some new legal requirements how such rooms must be constructed, so in addition to filling the former window hole, I also need to either reinforce the wall for the door, or build a new one. I've decided to build new, of reinforced concrete.

Find a way to weld the steel door frame to the reinforcement steel bar for extra bad time to whoever tries to take the door down.

You almost got yourself a safe room there also budy.

Not sure if I'll be able to do that, the door will be delivered and installed by the manufacturer and he does it his own way. But good idea, maybe I'll come up with some way to do that.

if the door you ordered looks like anything the security doors sold in Europe then the installer will be probably do the same. The tech for ours first drove steel bars into the wall bricks and chemically anchored them, and then welded the door subframe on them.

I am in Europe and the door and it's installation meets Czech law for vault rooms ment for gun storage. The maker did mention putting steel bars in the wall; I admit I have no idea how he attaches the frame to them.

Today I realized I had done an prep without thinking of it as a prep, I was just being cheap. Couple days ago I checked my razor blade supply and was down to one new blade and a fresh one in the razor. I looked on Amazon and found 100ct. Wilkinson Sword double edge razor blades for $19.99, a very good price so they got ordered. Now I hate to shave but I do every 3 or 4 days whether I need to or not ;D. One blade will last me a couple months or more like that. I realized I'm good on blades for around 15 yrs.

Hmmm. Got me beat on blades. I don't even own a razor.  ???  ;D

I got that Lentil replacement bag yesterday, so it got jarred up in 1/2 gal mason's, and I also got the 50# bag of trump's all purpose flour all jarred up. It gets put in a 5gal bucket with gamma lid, which goes in the pantry, then all the rest goes in gallon mason jars. We use that to cut our home ground whole wheat flour.
